Bede - the muslim untouchables of Bangladesh

SELECTED SCENES from a documentary about the Bede people of Bangladesh. The Bede or river gypsies used to live a nomadic riverine life. They are excluded from mainstream life, and are regarded as a "pariah" community in that they have hereditary professions, do not inter-marry and have cultural practises which sets them apart from the wider community. Nor do they have representation politically - though they were recently given the vote.
