On February 13, a federal court in Buenos Aires issued arrest warrants for 25 senior Myanmar officials, including Aung San Suu Kyi, for their roles in the Rohingya genocide. The National Unity Government (NUG) responded by attempting to absolve civilian leaders of responsibility, claiming only military leaders are to blame. This narrative ignores the civilian government's active role in denying atrocities, defending the military and blocking investigations.
Additionally, in a surprising turn, BROUK (Burmese Rohingya Organisation UK) - the very organisation that fought for this case - initially chose to obscure the fact that Aung San Suu Kyi is among those facing an arrest warrant. Why?
